I am raining

My body opens like a flower.
Your hand on my heart, the deep center,
surrendering, humbling, elating,
becoming.
With your hand on my breast,
your arm becomes a river,
downstream to me, to you, at once.

I am raining, tiny white flowers
around you,
thousands of petals, floating, flickering,
in this warm light
that is all I am.

  1. This is an old poem. The second stanza was used as a lyric in “Songs of Intimacy,” (c) 1987 Todd Winkler and Karina Lutz.

  2. This is one of the most beautiful, femininely sensual poems I have ever read.
