Note from the author: Privacy is very important to everyone, or might be. I have to write a privacy policy, and don’t even know what it is, or how this web provider works, and can barely make it work for me.
The policy below is an adaptation of the privacy policy template offered by WordPress. It has not authorized my using its name in the “and/or” configuration. But the website is on its platform, so I think it is responsible for things it does that I don’t know about.
I also don’t believe that one can assume there is any privacy on the internet, and thank the whistleblowers for their work for the common good.
And I don’t understand what AI is doing, or how. Imagine each time you log on, each time you are typing, that you are screaming from the roof tops. And speak truth to power.
Anyway, here are some things they say to forewarn you about.
Website Visitors
Like most website operators, karinalutz.com and its newsletter app collect non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. This website, karinalutz.com and/or its WordPress platform’s purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how its visitors use the website and platform. From time to time, WordPress may release non-personally-identifying information in the aggregate, e.g., by publishing a report on trends in the usage of its website.
Karinalutz.com and/or its WordPress platform also collects potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses for logged in users and for users leaving comments on our blogs. Karinalutz.com and/or its WordPress platform only discloses logged in user and commenter IP addresses under the same circumstances that it uses and discloses personally-identifying information as described below, except that blog commenter IP addresses are visible and disclosed to the administrators of the blog where the comment was left.
Gathering of Personally-Identifying Information
Certain visitors to WordPress’s websites choose to interact with karinalutz.com in ways that allow or require it to gather personally-identifying information. The amount and type of information that karinalutz.com gathers depends on the nature of the interaction. For example, we ask visitors who comment on our blog to provide a username and email address. Those who wish to receive the website’s newsletter updates via email, we collect their emails and optionally, their names. In each case, karinalutz.com collects such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfill the purpose of the visitor’s interaction with the newsletter and for administrators to find people’s emails by name. Karinalutz.com and/or its WordPress platform does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below. And visitors can always refuse to supply personally-identifying information, with the caveat that it may prevent them from engaging in certain website-related activities.
